Post Doc, Research Assistant Professor

George Mason University, Life Sciences Department, National Center for Biodefense & Infectious Disease on the Prince William campus seeks applicants for the position of Post Doctoral Research Assistant Professor. The successful candidates will have a record of publication and a research program with demonstrated ability of attracting external funding. Preferred areas of research are as follows: cell biology, microbiology, synthetic organic chemistry, experimental molecular biology and bioinformatics. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent experience) in microbiology specializing in immunology, bacteriology, virology, toxinology or aerobiology. Willingness to work in a biosafety containment laboratory, which will require a vaccination. Persons must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a special investigation background check.
