MacroGenics, Inc., a growing biotechnology company, has an opening for a Research Associate at its corporate site in Rockville, MD. Responsibilities include research and development of novel therapeutics in the areas of cancer, infectious disease, allergy and autoimmunity and aspects of antibody and protein engineering including: cloning, mutagenesis, library screening, transfection, and protein characterization.
Applicants must meet the following requirements: B.S. or M.S. in biology, biochemistry or related discipline; 2 to 3 years of molecular biology experience; experience with PCR, primer design, cloning, prokaryotic and eukaryotic protein expression, ELISA and FACS; strong communication, organization, and computer skills; experience with lab automation and library generation/screening is a plus.
